There are plenty of memories here! Built in the mid 1850’s, many farms like this are gradually being reclaimed by the landscape ….from dust to dust, so to speak.

Inhabitants move from the country into the city for work and the once proud farmhouse, a centre for family prosperity, now crumbles away into obscurity……..

Bronte Lagoon in Tasmania’s highlands holds a special place for me. I have taught fly-fishing here every January for the past 32 years in a row. I know the area well…..it’s landforms, fish habitats and weather systems. I particularly like and teach about, it’s insects, as I teach Entomology to fly fishermen.

This painting is in Hut Bay near where I normally camp. One beautiful colour only……Indigo Blue.

Fast gurgling waters rush through rocky outcrops. The dark tannin stained waters froth with white speckled foam forming lines in the water surface. Waterfalls crash down into to pools below.
