Inhabitants move from the country into the city for work and the once proud farmhouse, a centre for family prosperity, now crumbles away into obscurity……..

Travelling on foot across the midlands , I was threatened and spellbound by a late afternoon storm. The darkening storm cell spiralled above as I knew I had several kilometres to trudge till I reached the shelter of the homestead. Trekking along the old farm track along the road to Nowhere….

Reminded me of early morning rides in the forest, with the sun warming the undergrowth and spearing shafts of light through the branches…. magic days indeed !!
