There are plenty of memories here! Built in the mid 1850’s, many farms like this are gradually being reclaimed by the landscape ….from dust to dust, so to speak.

Inhabitants move from the country into the city for work and the once proud farmhouse, a centre for family prosperity, now crumbles away into obscurity……..

Travelling on foot across the midlands , I was threatened and spellbound by a late afternoon storm. The darkening storm cell spiralled above as I knew I had several kilometres to trudge till I reached the shelter of the homestead. Trekking along the old farm track along the road to Nowhere….
