Winter Sunrise on the Mountain

I have a fascination with the overwhelming presence of Hobart's beautiful Mt Wellington (Kunanyi)
It is an area of extremes , towering 1247 mts above the skyline . It has many different characters which change with the seasons. I am drawn to it, as are many passionate Tasmanian Hobartians.
Seeing the sunrise from the summit , in freezing temperatures, makes the effort all worthwhile. The gleaming rays of sunshine glancing off the Dolerite columns , are truly remarkable.
